No married couple wants to discuss the end of a marriage and for good reason. When problems arise, you begin wishing you were back to when when romance was the name of the game. Things are changing and you feel helpless. When you and your spouse can?t even discuss basic things without shouting, there may be a problem.

Starting a marriage seriously means committing for the long term. You may have planned to wallow in a fairytale kind of love that could last forever. But there are always bumps along the way. There may be things that you?ve done that were not well-received. You or your spouse may have strayed because of boredom. If you?ve been feeling this way about your marriage, then it?s time to remind yourself of the love you once had.

If you intend to know how to stay emotionally connected with your spouse, you aren?t alone. People in relationships always want to know how to make the good feelings last. Patterns are enemies of romance, or so they seem to be. But realities of a fully committed marriage include living with all the mundane things that occur. Realistic options may replace romantic ones. You must first think about what?s causing the burnout anyway. It can be a white lie that had disastrous penalty. It might be that your partner distrusts you and vice verse. Maybe you were too jealous that you monopolized his time and now he?s regretting the choice to cut off everybody else for the sake of your marriage. This is the most useful time to deal with your mistakes.

The next step is to point out your assurance. Your partner may be feeling pessimistic. You should let your spouse know that you still want to work with him to keep the marriage going. Trusting your spouse can make him feel more appreciated and forgiven.

Allow your true personality shine. If your spouse is under the impression that you are judgmental when you know you are not, this is your chance to show him. Every person is capable of forgiveness, and this is your chance to show that you, too, understand how to forgive. Always bear in mind that if you are honest about your feelings, your spouse may feel inclined to be honest as well.

You must also express your desire to know how to stay emotionally connected with your spouse. Some people can?t move on, but you must express your intention to move on. Your marriage means a lot to both of you.

Give each other enough space take into consideration your separate realizations about what occurred. You both need the breathing space. Spend quality time when you are not doing all your individual reflections. Don?t put pressure on each other to keep romance going. It?ll simply occur again.
