NJ Chapter, September Breakfast Meeting Recap - Fishnet Business ...

The Jersey Shore, NJ FISHNET Chapter?s monthly business networking breakfast meeting was such a success yesterday morning.

The meeting was run by Tasha from Viridian and the group introduced themselves and their businesses to two new members. The new members being welcomed to FISHNET were Donna Knepper from Hearts Desire Hair Design in Bradley Beach, NJ and Lisa Mazzuca from On Your Mark Design and Graphics in Beachwood, NJ.

A few members gave extended introductions about their business including Terry Riccardelli from ParyLite who told us about new fall products, the scent of the month is Mahogany Apple, and informed us that she holds the honor of being the consultant who?s been with the company the 2nd longest! She also let us know why you should trim the wicks on your candles.

Tasha Peslak from Viridian gave us information about saving money by switching your electricity and gas provider to Viridian, a greener and more environmentally conscious company. Once you do, you will see your savings appear on your regular monthly bill, it?s so easy to switch!

Nick Blanda from Aurora Financial Group, Inc. (732-704-1111, ext 107) also remarked that the Government is promoting a new refinancing program labeled HARP2 to help those who are ?underwater? with their current mortgage loan payments. He also reminded members that his Chamber?s Comedy/Gift Auction, 25th Scholarship Fundraiser Event hosted by the GOTCC event is scheduled for October 19.

Charlie from Caswell Plumbing, Heating & Remodeling in Toms River (732-270-0662) told us about the benefits of installing new high energy efficient equipment, such as furnaces, hot water heaters, AC units and more. in your home and the cost savings involved. Tasha vouched for these savings by describing the difference in her energy bills after she moved from a smaller house with older equipment to newer construction with energy efficient models.

Gerry LaBruzza from Guardian Pest Control (732-278-2148) gave us all a lesson in the prevalence of bed bugs in NJ and spoke about the effective heat technology his company uses to eradicate them from homes and businesses. He also gave us all step by step advice on what to look for do when traveling and what to do if we do find evidence so we don?t bring them back into our homes.

To close the meeting, Lisa Mazzuca, social media manager and owner of On Your Mark Design and Graphics, spoke about the new website functionality and the power and importance of using social networking to market the FISHNET group and member?s businesses online. The issue of social networking and internet marketing will be a reoccurring topic of discussion during the next few months.
