Duke Energy Announces More Funding for Customers in Need

Duke Energy announces new funding opportunities for customers in need.

Funding has tripled for eligible customers' heating and cooling bills.

The company is contributing $700,000 annually over the next five years for low-income energy assistance.

?This year they've added $100,000 in assistance.?

?The money comes from the Duke Energy Edwardsport Plant regulatory settlement.

?Customers who need help paying their electricty bills can receive up to $300 toward their bill.

"You know the thing I see every day is how people are struggling. It's something where we as a company can help make a difference in someone's life," said Rick Burk with Duke Energy.
